In 2nd Grade, we have finished our model curriculum unit about animals and habitats. For our CEPA or final project we started by using the Chromebooks to do our research. Each child chose an animal and habitat that they wanted to learn more about. They were asked to inquire using three questions they wanted answers to, and then research to find the answers. Check out these zookeepers and their final projects! They came out so great! These second graders shared in front of a small Kindergarten group and peers in their second grade class. Awesome!
In third grade, we read the text, "The Story of Pizza" and discussed the main idea and details of the text and then explained our ideas on a pizza. We used the whole pizza as the main idea and the toppings as the details. We enjoyed learning about the history of pizza...YUM!
